Young’s work explores memories both recent and distant, as she covers then reveals a figure often standing in for herself, rediscovering something half forgotten.

The work addresses life-changing events in a way that is both playful and idiosyncratic.

The Porthmeor Programme has been a catalyst for Young to return to a more experimental way of working and playing with images.

Through the freedom that she has found in printmaking, the images have become both immediate and primal.
